Comic Book Poses - My Sketches and Studies

Comic Book Poses by RAM

Working on some more comic book poses. I am going to compile them into a set on my Gumroad but I will be sharing some of them as a monthly newsletter. So if you are like me and you would love to have lots of various poses to work from head over to -

http://www.ramstudioscomics.com - and sign up for the list.

I will be doing all sorts of pose studies. Everything from couples sitting there having some coffee to hulking behemoths busting through walls.

This should be a great resource for all types of artist that need figure drawing but it will be primarily focused on comic book heroes. Male and female poses.

It should also be a nice addition to my course content so if you decide to take those you will also get a copy of the PDF's.

Good luck with your art and more on the way real soon!

Tech-Tana Pinup for the Blackstone Comic

Here is a pinup from Book #2 of the Blackstone comic.  This is Tech-Tana.  She is protecting her world from an alien invasion that occupies planets and destroys every living thing in their path.  (Never heard that one before, right? )  She is loosing the battle and there is only one person that can save her world from total annihilation.  Blackstone!  But will he help?!  How can he?  He has his own problems to deal with.  Mainly a free loading alien that won't pry itself off his back bone.  So she will try to in list the services of our would be hero, but it won't be easy!

I like to think of the backstory when I am drawing on these pics.  So I figured I would share some of that with you.  She will be featured in Book #3 so I hope you will stick around to find out how the story goes.

More on the way real soon and remember you can help support the Blackstone comic on my Patreon

Custom Inking Brushes for Manga Studio 5

My custom inking brushes are now available in Manga Studio 5 as well.  There has been a good response from the Photoshop ones so upon request I have transferred them over to Manga Studio 5 in the SUT format.  I will be doing a demonstration video on these as well.  I am even creating a fan art piece with these just to show them on an actual illustration.  These brushes should save time in some areas and help with some cool effects.  The cross hatching and the texture brushes are fun to use and the kirby crackle is pretty much spot on.  And the set even has bullet holes.  You can never have enough bullet holes in my opinion. lol

So I hope you enjoy these and I would love to see how you use them in your work!  This set is available for download on my Gumroad page for $5 and there are a couple free Photoshop brushes as well.  More Manga Studio or Clip Studio Paint brushes are on the way!

Thanks for your support!

Comic Book Inking Brushes for Photoshop CC by RAM

So here are my revolutionary comic book inking brushes for Photoshop CC.  These brushes are lots of fun and should save you huge amounts of time.  The Crackle effect alone is extremely useful.  Not to mention all the cool effects that can be made with the different cross hatching brushes in here.  And I am pretty sure the hair brush will be a big hit as well.  Keep in mind you need a tablet that supports pressure sensitivity and rotation to take full advantage of these brushes.  And also remember that these brushes will not make or break you as an artist.  You will still have to dedicate time to master them but as I said before, used correctly they can save you lots of time.  So if you check them out please let me know what you think and what you might like to see in the future and I will do my best to make it happen.

This set is available on my Gumroad for $5 but also grab my FREE set while you are there and try those out as well.  You can watch a demonstration video on my Youtube channel to see these puppies in action!  Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for your support! ;)

These brushes were designed in and for Photoshop CC 2015.  This is an ABR File.  It should
work with all the CS Versions as well.

Batman Vs. Superman Fan Art by RAM...

So here is my take on the two greatest DC characters (IMO) battling it out.  I had to create this in honor of the new movie which I would bet my little piggy bank, it is going to rock!  Not going to picks sides but I would have to say this is an uphill battle for the Batman.  I created this one in Sketchbook Pro 8 and it took me around 8 hours to pencil all these little details.  And I loved every minute of it.  Never get bored drawing a piece like this.  You know you love something when you can do it for 8 straight hours and not want to stop.  So I hope you like this fan art piece and more of it on the way real soon.  For now I have to get back to some paying work.....unfortunately! ;)

My Patreon Page - Introduction Video - Robert Marzullo

I created a video for the intro on my Patreon page.  I am hoping this helps the page get some added
views and some backers.  We shall see.  My goal is that if this does well then I can get these books out faster and have more overall art to share with everyone.  Including more content on the Youtube channel explaining the things I learn on this comic book art journey.  That is the game plan anyways.  Please feel free to let me know if you have any ideas of what you would like to see on my Patreon page.  It can be in the way of the post I should make or simply what rewards would be beneficial for your support. I am still pretty new to this whole process so your thoughts mean a lot to me.  I am also going to make a discount code for my Patrons to my course content on Gumroad when it becomes available.  That is currently a full tutorial set on digital painting in Manga Studio 5 which I am absolutely loving right now.  The smooth watercolor brush is AWESOME!!! ;)

So that is it for now.  And here is a link to the video.  More on the way very soon!
